LIMS for veterinary diagnostic labs
From a clinic’s submission to a report the veterinarian can act on, with every result judged against the right species.
Demonstration application. Functional and built with AppMaker, but not a finished, validated or production-ready laboratory system. It is a starting point that we adapt for each laboratory.
Chapters
The screencast follows a fictional veterinary diagnostic laboratory, “Northfield Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory”, with fictional clinics, veterinarians, patients and owners. All data is invented, and the analyzer interface and report delivery to clinics are simulated.

Adapting it to your laboratory
A starting point for veterinary diagnostic and reference laboratories that work from clinic submissions, species-specific intervals and pathologist sign-out. Typical adaptations include:
- Your test catalog, species, reference intervals and critical limits
- Connections to your analyzers in place of simulated readings
- Report delivery to clinics, for example by email, a portal or practice software
- Your sections, worklists, pathology templates and sign-out rules
- Billing or practice-management integration
Turning a demonstration into a system your laboratory relies on involves the same work as any laboratory software project: requirements, configuration around your data, integrations, testing, and validation where your quality system requires it. Starting from working software simply shortens the path.
